1962: The year that sparked off the Jumabhoy family polo tradition. It began with Ameerali Jumabhoy, a second generation Singaporean. In the next half century, the Jumabhoy's had become a significant presence in Singapore’s Polo scene with Ameerali and his three sons forming an all-family team. Family involvement grew, with Ameerali serving as President and now Patron, of the Singapore Polo Club. The third generation of polo playing Jumabhoy’s sprung up five years into the new millennium and while Ameerali has hung up his mallets, his sons Asad and Iqbal along with their sons Ameer, Ali and Imran, continue. It’s been a wonderful journey for Singapore-based family who have played extensively in Argentina, Malaysia and around the world; friendship has been made and relationships, fostered. We hope that La Sarita will carry on the tradition of family polo. We currently play up to 14 goals and enjoy the times we have with all the friends we have made through this truly beautiful game. We are proud to have you with us as La Sarita takes to the field.
