Dec 2006, the final stages of the Argentine Open; the Jumabhoy’s and Moy’s were sitting together at Palermo watching the greatest polo in the world. Sara, then aged 9, leaned over and asked “Uncle Alejandro, why are you drawing?” “Well”, I replied, “because I am an artist.” “Well I am an artist too,” she said, “and if you will draw for me, I will draw for you.”
I told her that if she came to my studio, we could paint together. So little Sara, our “Sarita”, and I, spent several hours painting a picture, which cemented a friendship spanning two generations of Moy’s and three of Jumabhoy’s.
The birth of La Sarita is like the 1st brushstroke on an empty canvas; something fresh and new, something imaginative, innovative and exciting. I designed the team’s logo with this in mind and the end result reflects what I hope to be a sense of continuity and tradition for La Sarita
